About The Tour
Discover the hidden beauty of Anakulam by Jeep, a peaceful forest wild elephant village located deep in the Western Ghats near Munnar. This full-day driver cum guided nature experience combines scenic mountain & village life experience drive. Anakulam is famous for the regular presence of wild elephant herds that naturally visit the village area in search of water and minerals.On the way waterfalls, river activities, tribal village life, and the unique opportunity to witness wild elephants visiting human-inhabited areas. Visitors may get the opportunity to observe wild elephants.
Tour Highlights
@ 10:30am - start from Munnar meeting point, 50 minutes scenic drive through Lakshmi cardamom plantation hills and tea plantations
@ 11:30am - Viripara Tea View & self walk through Tea plantation
@11:45 am -Visit Viripara Waterfalls with optional shower experience (Maximum spending time 30 minutes in the waterfall)
@12:30 pm - Explore Tiger Cave and hanging bridge- 30 minutes walk in Tiger Cave through wild bamboo forest area
01:30 pm to 2:30 pm - Lunch Time (Maximum spending time 1 Hour)
@ 2:45 pm - Rubber plantation visit and explanation
@ 3:00 pm - Visit Perumankuth Waterfalls
@ 3:30 pm - 4:00 pm - River crossing experience and swimming in safe river areas (Not possible in heavy rainy time)
@ 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm - Experience local village life - Anakulam
- Beautiful forest and mountain landscapes throughout the journey followed by “Tea Break“
- Visit the peaceful forest village of Anakulam
Opportunity to witness wild elephant herds in their natural habitat (sightings depend on luck and wildlife movement, Elephants arriving the spot from 4:00 pm).
