Mehndi is a traditional form of temporary body art made using a natural paste prepared from dried henna leaves. Commonly applied on hands and feet during weddings and festivals, mehndi symbolizes joy, prosperity, good health, and love. In many cultures, a darker henna stain is believed to represent a stronger bond between individuals. Unlike tattoos, mehndi is not permanent, as the natural dye stays only on the surface of the skin.
Traditionally, mehndi paste is prepared by drying henna leaves, grinding them into a fine powder, and mixing it with water, lemon juice and tea powder to create a smooth paste. The paste is then filled into cones and used to draw intricate patterns and designs. Apart from decoration, henna has also been valued for its cooling and medicinal properties and was traditionally used to soothe headaches, burns, stomach aches, and minor wounds.
Note :The class will conclude around 6:30 PM, followed by approximately 30 minutes of drying time for the mehndi designs applied on your hands.
