Tour Activity Details
Plantation Walk
1-2 hours Plantation walk. Those who are coming to Munnar can opt for this activity. This involves a maximum 3 hour walk through the Tea plantation and interaction with Tea Puckers to learn the local culture of the people. Moreover this walk is good for heath in the form of breathing pure oxygen and peace of mind. It is a new attraction introduced by Lockhart Farm Tourism in Munnar. The objective of this unique programme is to give the tea lovers all around the world the unique experience of producing their own tea from the tea plant to the cup.
Lockhart tea factory – 1 Hour
The Lockhart tea factory is famous for its Orthodox Tea produced in the traditional way. The museum includes a living factory which was built in 1936 and a tea sales outlet and tea-tasting sections. The visitors are given a brief idea about the origins of tea for consumption, its history & health benefits and explained about the traditional tea manufacturing processes.
Tea Tasting – ½ Hour
The guests are explained about tea tasting terminology and are shown ways of making an ideal cup of tea. They are also allowed to taste and favour the various grades of tea produced in the factory. After finishing tour join the same vehicle to travel back.
